TIPS FOR RECTANGLE & SQUARE PROBLEMS TIP 1: Focus on the side lengths in square and rectangle problems. If the lengths are given, fill them in immediately. If they are not given, use other information in the problem to get them.
TIP 2: When circles are combined with a rectangle or square in a problem, use the side lengths of the rectangle or square to determine the radius or diameter of the circle.
